Hello! My name is Clair Irvin. I was born in Chicago, but I grew up in Atlanta. I received my B.A. with honors (Magna Cum Laude) in Studio Art from Georgia State University in the Spring of 2018. I have taken classes in Graphic Design, Photography, Oil-based Painting, Water-based Painting, Wheel Throwing, and Figure Drawing.
I interned at the Community Bankers Association of Georgia, C&C Entertainment Firm LLC, and the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia. My work has been shown in the High Museum of Art Atlanta and the Mint Gallery. I have experience writing professionally and marketing.
I believe art can provide an outlet for anyone who needs it. There are so many ways to express creativity, and it allows for a vulnerability that builds connections. Whether it is paintings, movies, music, or anything in between, art can act as a safe place and a place for communication. With art comes discovery. That is why I love art.
